We’ve Enhanced Our Cleaning & Safety Standards
Our professional cleaners have been trained to always focus on cleanliness in our rooms. Our cleaners sanitize each room before they begin to clean, and then disinfect again after they’ve cleaned all surfaces. As always, our innkeepers then check each room, and wipe surfaces down again.
We have removed extraneous items in our rooms–such as the individual room information books (you can ask our in-room concierge Angie anything you need to know!), decorative pillows, and any other non-necessary items. Less surface areas to worry about means you can relax in our rooms confidently.
Our signature robes are available by request for use during your stay.
We provide stayover cleanings by request, from 11am until 2:00pm. Just let us know when you plan to be out of the room, and we’ll be happy to refresh your room. Sheets are changed every three days (we’ll coordinate with you when we can change them), and we are always happy to supply more towels and amenities.
Flexible Cancellation Policy
Make your reservation at our St. Augustine inn with confidence! There is no cancellation fee if you are canceling due to a Covid infection, the need to quarantine, or caring for a loved one with a Covid infection. In addition, there is no fee for our international guests who may be subject to lock-downs and curtailed travel out of the country.

Socially Distanced Dining
We have moved our outdoor tables with a minimum of 6 feet between each, in an effort to keep the max number of dining room guests to two at a time. We deliver a breakfast tray to each room at your convenience or to either of our beautiful decks, porches, or patio.
We’re social distancing in the kitchen too! We are offering a standard breakfast tray for each room–enjoy our hot homemade entrée of the day, a fruit course, and one of our homemade pastries. If you have any food allergies, please let us know, and we will try to accommodate it.
It’s Still Happy Hour!
In place of our happy hour appetizer buffet we will bring you a personal plate with our homemade appetizer of the day, along with the drink of your choice (in case you’ve been missing our sangria!!)
For extra safety, our fresh homemade desserts will be plated and wrapped with cling wrap. You can enjoy it during happy hour, or take it back to your room to enjoy after dinner.
In addition, our property is perfectly situated to maintaining a healthy distance from other guests, all while bringing you closer to feeling normal again.
Feel Safe With Less Contact and Less Risk
Contact-Free Check In
We have recently invested in keyless locks on our room doors, so you can check in without having to visit a check-in window or reception area.
We now have digital concierges in each room, referred to as “Angie”. This device works similarly to “Alexa” devices that you may have in your home. Angie is programmed with information about Bayfront Marin House and important area information you may find helpful during your stay. Angie can also send a message to the front desk.
We use a text messaging program to allow you easy connections to the front desk. The night before your stay, we will send you a text message asking you to opt in. Once you opt in, you can text us any questions or requests—your message will be delivered directly to the front desk! You will also use the texting program to order breakfast and happy hour. Of course, if you’d like to see us, we are all in the office as usual! We implemented the texting program during the early days of Covid, and our guests liked it so much we plan to use it going forward.
We want communicating with us to be easy and comfortable for you. Use the in-room concierge (voice activated), or the messaging program (text activated), or just come in the office and talk to us face-to-face—whatever channel you prefer!
Private Entrances & Safe Spaces
All of our beautiful rooms have private entrances—no common areas to walk through.
Our property features lots of outdoor spaces where you can kick back and unwind. Enjoy our hammock, our gazebo, one of our porch swings, or the comfy outdoor furniture upstairs. For even more privacy, six of our downtown rooms have private porches reserved for just the two of you. (And all of our beach cottages have private areas where you can enjoy the sun and sound of the waves!)
We’re a small property. That means less other guests and less interaction. Stay small–stay safe!
