The owners and managers of our inn are pretty laid back, but unfortunately in running a business we have had occasions when clear and explicit policies were required.

Reservations

• Confirmed reservations require a credit card guarantee and a deposit equal to the first night’s stay.
• Larger deposits are required for stays longer than 5 days; please inquire for specifics or see them in our Frequently Asked Questions.

Cancellation Policy

We know that the best-laid plans can sometimes go awry. If you must cancel your reservation, the following fees apply:

• A $35 fee will be charged for any and all rooms canceled up to seven days prior to your scheduled arrival.
• Rooms cancelled within seven days of scheduled arrival will result in a charge of the entire stay.
• “No shows” will be charged the full rate of the full stay. Early departures may be charged the full amount of the stay.

Please note: If multiple rooms are reserved through a wedding or group contract, the policies noted in that contract will apply.

Travel Insurance

Because our rooms are limited and cancellations can impact other travelers, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your trip investment. For your convenience, Bayfront Marin House offers TravelSafe Insurance as an optional add-on during the online booking process.

If you choose to purchase travel insurance, please note the following:

• Travel insurance is a contract between you (the guest) and TravelSafe Insurance. Bayfront Marin House is not the insurance provider and cannot determine claim eligibility or issue reimbursements.
• Our standard cancellation policy still applies regardless of whether insurance is purchased. If a reservation must be canceled, it will be processed according to our cancellation policy, and any reimbursement requests should be submitted directly to TravelSafe.
• If you book by phone or would like to add coverage after making your reservation, you can contact TravelSafe directly through their website or by calling (800) 523-8020.

Travel insurance availability may vary based on your state of residence.

Checking In and Checking Out

Downtown guests checking in should park in the loading zone in front of the inn, marked “Reserved for Check Ins of the Bayfront Marin House”. If you would like to have help with your luggage, please let us know. Check in time is 3:00 pm; earlier check-ins may be available for a fee. Our front desk is open 24 hours a day so late check-ins are welcome! Check out time is 11:00 am.

Vacation rentals at the Beachcomber Cottages and downtown cottage guests can go directly to their room at 3:00 pm. Your reservation includes the address of your unit; you also can access addresses here: Click Here

Rates

Rates are based on double occupancy. Additional guests are subject to an additional charge of $35 for each extra person or $20 for each child 12 and under.

Printed rates include a homemade southern breakfast and daily happy hour, including beer, wine, homemade sangria, and small bites. Rates do not include 11.5% state and local taxes.

All rates and amenities are subject to change and may change without notice. The owners reserve the right not to honor rates or discounts published on unauthorized third-party sites.

If you have friends or family staying somewhere else and would like to have breakfast or happy hour with them, please inquire. Additional guests are invited during social hours at specific times of the year; please inquire. Extra charges apply for each guest invited to happy hour or breakfast.

Parking

We offer free off-site parking, at the Oldest House on St. Francis Street. Please park in our loading zone for checking in or checking out; you will be given a parking pass to park in our lot.

Guests at the Beachcomber Cottages are supplied with a free parking pass for downtown parking.

Rooms

All of our rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed on the public garden patio; please be considerate of your fellow guests if you choose to smoke. Please note smoking in a room may result in a cleaning charge of up to $300.

As one of the pet friendly hotels in St. Augustine, pets are welcome in our first floor rooms of our downtown inn; they are also welcome in our Aviles Street Cottage (downtown) and our Oceanview Cottage (Vilano Beach). There is an additional charge of $35/night per pet. If you are bringing a pet, you must tell us when making your reservation—or additional fees may apply and your check-in time will be delayed. All of our rooms include flat screen televisions, alarm clocks, hair dryers, irons, soaps and shampoos, and free wifi. Additional items may be available upon request—please ask us if you need anything!

Guest Behavior Policy

Guests are expected to act in a lawful, responsible, and courteous manner. Unfortunately, when that does not occur, we reserve the following rights:

Excessive damage to your room will be charged based on the extent of the damage. Broken or missing items, damage caused by pets, and ruined linens will be charged to the credit card on file. In the event of a damage charge, you will be sent an updated receipt for your stay.

All guest rooms are non-smoking. Smoking in your room is subject to a $300 cleaning fee.

Guests who subject other guests, employees, or vendors to excessive noise, threatening behavior, or inappropriate conduct, will be removed from the property. No refunds will be given.

Please note our quiet hours begin at 9pm and end at 9am.

Privacy Policy

We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.
