Arriving by Plane, Train or Boat?
St. Augustine Regional Airport
Why yes, St. Augustine does have its own airport (SRA) and its located just minutes from the historic district. This regional airport has limited service, but the carriers frequently offer discounts on direct flights. Frontier has direct flights from Philadelphia and Chicago, and ViaAir has direct flights to Charlotte. Check www.flynf.com for current schedules and available discounts.
Bonus: Ask us to pick you up! You don’t need a car to travel in St. Augustine, and we’ll be happy to pick you up for free from St. Augustine’s airport (Northeast Florida Regional Airport). Must be arranged 72 hours in advance.
Tip: Planes land and movable stairs are pushed to the plane on the tarmac for boarding and disembarking. May be difficult for visitors with mobility issues.
- Jacksonville Airport to St. Augustine is approximately 52 miles.
- Orlando Airport is approximately 118 miles.

- Train – The Amtrak Autotrain will transport you—and your car—from Lorton, VA to Sanford, FL which is approximately 90 miles from St. Augustine.
- Boat – Dock at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina, but stay at our beautiful inn. We’re located less than two blocks away, and would be happy to pick you up (advance notice required. Transportation service is not available after 6pm, although there are multiple travel options—cabs, the 6-seater Hopper, even a pedicab. Call for details, and we’ll be happy to arrange transport for you).
