Bayfront Marin House Need to Know
Jacksonville Airport is approximately 50 minutes north of St. Augustine. It is a smaller airport, easy to get through, with an easy rental car pick up close to the airport.
The closest large airport is Orlando. It is approximately a 2 hour drive from Orlando to St. Augustine.

We offer complimentary downtown parking, located at the Oldest House parking lot. It is approximately 2 blocks from the inn (about a 5 minute walk).
If you are staying at the Beachcomber Cottages, parking is available in front of (or underneath) each unit. All Beachcomber guests receive a parking pass to park in our downtown lot.
When checking in to the downtown location, please use the loading zone marked at the front of the building. You may use that to unload your bags (just call us if you need help!), before moving your car to our lot.
St. Augustine is an exceptionally walkable town. Many guests park their car at arrival, and don’t use it again until they are ready to check out!
Check in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 11:00 am.
We can accommodate a limited number of early check-ins for an additional fee. We will contact you when your room is ready through our texting program. Please note that each of our rooms are different, so we can’t put you in another room like large, cookie-cutter hotels. If your room is not ready by 1:30, your early check in fee will be refunded. There will be no additional refunds if we cannot accommodate your requested early check in.
If you arrive in town after 11:00 am, you may stop by the inn to drop your bags and get a downtown parking pass so you can enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll while we ready your room. We have a restroom in our welcome area downtown, and you are welcome to use that to freshen up after your travels if your room is not ready.
NOTE If you have an event on the day of your arrival–such as a wedding or rehearsal party—we strongly recommend booking the night before the event. We cannot guarantee early check in, and we don’t want you to be stressed as you race to get ready for your special event.
If you must cancel a room with more than a week’s notice, there is a $35 charge for each room canceled. If you must cancel with a week or less notice, we will retain the first night’s deposit. No shows—or guests who must vacate the room early—will be charged the full amount.
NOTE For large groups and whole inn rentals, the above cancellation policy is not valid; the group cancellation policy is the one documented on your group contract.
All of the first floor rooms in our downtown location are dog friendly. Our website designates pet friendly rooms in each room description.

Many of our rooms are well suited for children. All our room prices are based on two-person occupancy. There is an additional $35 per day fee for children 16 and older, and an additional $20 per day fee for children under 16. Children two years and under are free.
Downtown rooms with daybeds and/or sofa beds: Coquina Suite (daybed), Governor White room (daybed), Lyndsay Michelle (1 king and 1 full bed in adjoining rooms). The Marine Street Apartment has a sofa bed in its living area, and the Aviles Street Cottage has three bedrooms (2 queen beds and 2 twin beds).
Beachcomber Cottages with additional bedrooms or sofa beds: Atlantic Suite and Royal Palm (sofa beds); Dunes Suite (daybed) Oceanview Cottage (1 queen and 1 king bedroom), Lagoon Cottage (3 bedrooms—1 king, 1 queen, and 1 twin. Twin bedroom is very small).
All groups with 5 or more rooms must be contracted through our group sales team. There is an additional fee for any group reservations.
Whole inn rentals are available in January, July, August, September, October, and the first week of November. Whole inn rentals are not available during holiday periods.
We are able to do small receptions on the grounds of our Sanchez House, with an event fee and rental of both rooms on that property. Out of courtesy for our other guests, we are not able to host any parties on site. We have put together a list of restaurants and venues in St. Augustine that are perfect for small events.
We do host small weddings and vow renewals on site, with 30 guests or less. All weddings must be planned through our wedding coordinator. Learn more about our wedding packages.
