Light ’em Up: St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights Kicks Off TONIGHT

nights of lights in St. Augustine, FLEverything about St. Augustine will change tonight at 6:30, when the mayor lights the big tree in the center of town.

Dark corners of the town will be lit up with holiday cheer; locals and visitors alike will bump into each other as they gape at the town’s three million electric “stars” on long evening walks.

I love it. And I’m not the only one: National Geographic named St. Augustine one of the top 10 place in the WORLD to see lights in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, Raechel Ray named us one of the country’s “twinkliest towns”.

If you want to see it yourself, you just need to plan a visit to town between now (November 21) and the end of January. If you stay with us, you might consider extending your stay through at least two weeknights…that will get you a free bottle of champagne, chocolate nom noms from Claude’s Chocolates, and an exclusive trolley ride through town to see the lights. We still have rooms available; call us at 904.824.4301 if you’d like to book one.

If not, swing by our Facebook page–we will share photos of the finery all through the celebration.
